" The great collection of children's songs had me a little weepy in the car.....(it) reminded me of being in a magical place.... WONDERFUL!"

Rose
Coen's dream was finally coming true in a recording studio in Tennessee, at the
other end of the Appalachian Mountains from where it began. The gal who grew up
on 193rd St. between Kingsbridge Road and Marion Ave. and went to Bronx High
School of Science was singing country songs, for which she was first inspired by
summers spent in the Catskills.
Her
clear, sincere, sure voice and heartfelt lyrics in songs like "No One Left
To Lie To" caught the ear of legendary Nashville producer/sound engineer
Bil VornDick, who heard themes that would touch people whether they're in the
Bronx or the backwoods of the south.

"When I received her rough demos, I
heard songs that she had written about real life. The
day-to-day life that Rose writes about - I think listeners do like to listen to
. . . a different story and a different point of view, or a different way of
putting a 'love' approach to a song. Those kinds of songs are what draws me in
to help artists."
